Sustaining members provide us with an ongoing base of community support that we can rely on, so you can continue to rely on us. Each month, we will charge your credit or debit card the amount that you specify. Your membership will automatically continue unless you choose to cancel or change it.

Northwest Steelheaders is a grassroots organization that relies on small contributions from conservation-minded anglers like you to fund our advocacy and education work. When you join us or renew your membership today, you’re taking action to protect the future of steelhead, salmon, and trout fishing in the Pacific Northwest. You'll also learn about fishing events and volunteer opportunities before the general public, and enjoy exclusive access to the Columbia Sportswear Employee Store!

We are dedicated to protecting and restoring our coldwater fisheries, increasing fishing opportunities, and welcoming new anglers into the fishing community. Northwest Steelheaders fights for lower Snake River dam removal, Columbia River management reform, well-managed hatcheries, sea lion removal, and clean water—to name just a few of our recent advocacy campaigns. We boast a 60-year history of working to enhance and protect salmon and steelhead populations in Oregon and Washington.

Our organization represents recreational anglers, not just to lobby for policy changes that will improve salmon and steelhead runs from the top down, but to help the sportfishing community thrive from the ground up.

We support our local guides, teach underprivileged families and veterans how to fish, offer clinics for both novice and experienced anglers, and educate schoolchildren about the salmon lifecycle. We run the Letz Creek hatchery to support winter steelhead populations in the Siuslaw River. We clean up rivers, repair boat launches, and restore habitat.

1How does automatic renewal work?
For our Sustaining Membership, monthly withdrawals will be taken out on the day of the month that you signed up. Your Sustaining Membership will automatically renew unless you choose to cancel or change it. For our Annual Membership, if you check the the "automatic annual renewal" box, the same process occurs on an annual basis.
2Why should I choose automatic renewal?
We offer automatic renewal (1) to make it easier on you, so you don't have to remember to send a check when your membership expires, and (2) to allow us to plan and budget for our campaigns, events, and education programs ahead of time.
3How do I change my giving amount?
You can increase or decrease your giving amount by emailing office@anws.org with the details of your request.
4How do I cancel my membership?
You can cancel your membership anytime by emailing office@anws.org with the details of your request.
5Can I renew by mail?
Yes, you can mail a membership form with an attached check to our PO box. The form can be found here
