On Saturday, August 9^th we will be having our annual in-person board meeting. This includes all board members and chapter representatives. As a reminder the board meeting is an open meeting, and members are welcome to come if they like. You are welcome to arrive at 9:30 for some coffee and light pastries. The meeting starts at 10:00 am.

Chapters will be presenting on their activities over the previous year, the board will set goals for the upcoming year, and the board will hold elections and nominations for awards at the annual banquet.

Lunch will be provided for all board members, chapter presidents, and board representatives. All other members that come will be given lunch and the appropriate chapter billed for their expense.

Attendees MUST RSVP to James Adkins (james@anws.org) so we can get a headcount.

 2025 Hall of Fame Banquet Nominations and Voting

The Hall of Fame banquet is an opportunity to recognize the amazing volunteers who have given so much to our community, the local chapters that lead the Associations education, access and conservation projects and additional advocates and friends of the Steelheaders. We’ll plan to vote nominations at the 2025 Annual Meeting August 9^th. Use this link to submit your nominations for this year’s award recipients.

2025 Board Elections and Voting

We will need to elect our secretary, treasurer and at-large board members for 2025-2026. Our President and Vice President are both half way through their 2 year terms. Please respond to this email to voice your interest in a position.

Position Descriptions:

Secretary: Record and preserve the minutes of the board and special meetings and furnish copies to the Board of Directors within seven days following the meeting. This is critical for continuity of meetings and keeping the board on track to meet their objectives. 

Treasurer: Responsible for all funds belonging to the Association and shall ensure the maintenance of complete and accurate records of same. 

At-Large Board Members: The objective of At Large board members is to infuse needed knowledge and skills such as legal, biological science, marketing/development, etc.
